For some reason, Alexander Ceferin believes that these countries can create a security problem for the tournament.

Aleksander Čeferin is not happy with the possible entry into Euro 2024 of Ukraine and Israel. The President of UEFA said this in an interview with the British publication The Telegraph.

Answering the question about the participation of these teams in the continental championship, he noted that it could complicate the issue of security at the tournament, but expressed confidence that Germany will face these challenges.

“Now is a crazy time, where geopolitically we can say that the world has gone crazy. In such a situation, the main issue in the tournament is security.

My concern does not only apply to stadiums. They, I am sure, will be well protected. But the fans will gather in the cities. However, we remain optimistic. I’m still confident that everything will be fine,” said Ceferin.

We remind you that Ukraine will play against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the semi-finals of the playoffs for qualifying for the Euro, and Israel will play against Iceland. In case of victory, Ukraine and Israel will decide in the final which of them will go to the European Championship.
