Vorskla officially announced its resignation from collective membership Football Association of Poltava region.
“Since 1996, the Vorskla football club has consistently been among the elite of Ukrainian football, year after year setting itself the most ambitious goals and representing the country in the European arena. Consequently, we have every moral right to declare order and systematic work in the highest football body of the state.”
“In connection with recent circumstances in Ukrainian football, which contradict European values and the provisions of the UEFA Charter, FC Vorskla announces its withdrawal from the collective members of the Poltava Football Association,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.
The Poltava team is currently at training camp in Turkey. Sergei Dolgansky’s team defeated Sabah (3:0) and Kaysar (4:1) in sparring, but lost to Kosovo’s Llapi (0:2).
Vorskla finished the first part of the championship in seventh place, with 23 points. In the 18th round of the UPL, the Poltava team will play away against Zorya. The base date of the tour is February 24.
