Noboa, three-time Russian champion, left Sochi and returned to Ecuadorian Emelec

The 38-year-old midfielder returns to his homeland and will continue his career with the team where he made his professional debut in 2004.

Noboa moved to Sochi in 2019, in total he played 116 matches for the team, scored 40 goals and made 23 assists.

Previously, in the Russian Championship, the Ecuadorian played for Rubin Kazan, Dynamo Moscow, Rostov and Zenit St. Petersburg. He won the national championship three times (twice for Rubin and once for Zenit) and also won the Russian Super Cup as part of the Kazan team. Noboa was recognized as the best RPL football player of the 2021/22 season according to the Russian Football Union (RFU).

Sochi is in last place in the MIR RPL standings, having scored 11 points in 18 rounds this season. In December, the team was led by Spaniard Robert Moreno. Russian championship matches will resume in the spring.
