Saudi Arabia ready to buy Marseille or Monaco, royal family member says

Prince Abdullah Saad Abdulaziz Al Saud, a member of the Saudi royal family, has said he is ready to consider the possibility of buying a French championship club.

He said he was more attracted by the options with Marseille or “Monaco”. The prince did not specify whether he was speaking only on his own behalf or on behalf of the Saudi Sovereign Fund (PIF), of which he is also a member.

– I think it’s a good investment. Marseille, Monaco… these teams are performing well. They can be champions and become stronger. Buy Monaco in the event of a possible sale of the club? Of course this is possible, nothing is impossible,” RMC Sport quotes a member of the royal family with a link to Carré’s YouTube channel.

The prince also spoke of his dream of one day seeing Zinedine Zidane as Marseille coach.

— Zinedine Zidane is a good coach and, of course, a legend. Investing in sport is good. “If you invest in clubs like Marseille or Monaco, I think it’s a good idea,” added the prince.

Earlier, information appeared that Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev is ready to sell the Monaco football club, where the midfielder plays. Alexander Golovin.
