Former Zenit goalkeeper Malafeev: ‘I don’t have any training goals or job offers yet’

Four-time Russian champion goalkeeper and UEFA Cup winner Vyacheslav Malafeev told that he likes to train to become a coach, but so far he has no goals related to this profession.

In August 2023, Malafeev started training at the Russian Football Union academy. The program lasts 14 months. As a member of the Russian national team, Malafeev played 29 matches and became a bronze medalist at the 2008 European Championship. Malafeev is the second footballer in the history of Zenit in the number of matches (442), holder of the club record for matches without conceding a goal (164).
