Lucescu: Preparing for Fenerbahce was very difficult due to constant travel

The Kievans recently played the last friendly before the Champions League qualification matches

Mentor Dynamo Mircea Lucescu commented results of preparation teams for the Champions League qualifiers.

“The last three months we devoted to football. We had to maintain a competitive pace because we weren’t playing. [в официальных матчах] since December.

“Through control matches with strong opponents, we maintained a high level. On the other hand, everything took place in difficult conditions due to constant moving, ”said the mentor of the white-blues.

“I would prefer to have a stable place and play against Champions League opponents. But we had to travel cities, countries, from plane to bus, and so on… Beautiful, but difficult.

In the last match, we fulfilled our civic duty, we were able to unite the Ukrainians who left their homes and country. Wherever we were, the fans would gather around.”

“With these matches, Ukrainian football players are trying to remind people that terrible murders continue in Ukraine, which should be stopped,” Lucescu said.

On Friday, Dynamo lost to Antwerp in a charity match (1:2).

It should be noted that as part of the television broadcast of the Antwerp-Dynamo match, each viewer could join a charity fundraiser to help solve important humanitarian problems in Ukraine. All collected funds will be transferred directly to the accounts of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine in the NBU.

This was Dynamo’s last friendly in preparation for the Champions League qualifier second round match against Fenerbahce. The teams will play in Lodz (July 20) and Istanbul (July 27).
