The new body will become a platform for communication between regional associations and the UAF
Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) held a meeting to discuss the creation Assemblies of Regions. The meeting was attended by the President of the UAF Andrey Shevchenkorepresentatives of the UAF Executive Committee and regional associations.
“The Assembly of Regions should become a platform for communication between regional associations and the UAF and will prepare proposals on issues related to the development of football in the regions for further approval by the executive committee,” Shevchenko said.
Participants discussed the governance model of the new body and elected a working group to create regulations for the Assembly. The document will be sent for approval to the members and the UAF Executive Committee. After this, the first meeting of the new football body will take place.
Earlier, Shevchenko met with the acting Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Matvey Bedny and the head of the National Olympic Committee Vadim Gutzeit. Special attention was paid to the organization of training camps and matches of the Ukrainian national teams in 2024, in particular, preparations for participation in the Olympics in Paris.
Let us remind you that the former legendary football player, ex-mentor of the Ukrainian national team and ambassador of the UNITED24 platform was elected as the new president of the UAF on January 25. The team of the new head of the Association also included Pavel Boychuk, Sergey Rebrov and Alexander Shevchenko as vice-presidents.
