Midfielder Daniil Fomine will receive the captain’s armband in Moscow “Dynamo” next season, said head coach of the football club Slavisa Jokanovic.
“Yes, he will be the captain,” quotes White-Blues press service Jokanovic.
On Sunday, Dynamo drew with Lokomotiv (3-3) in the last control match of the offseason.
— We are at the pre-season training camp and, of course, we have to improve our game. In addition, we are still waiting for the replenishment in the lineup. I am sure that in the future we will be able to play better than today, – said the Serbian specialist.
Last season, goalkeeper Anton Shunin was the team captain. Fomin, 25, has made 34 appearances for the club in the 2021/22 season, scoring 12 goals and providing 5 assists.
Jokanovic replaced German Sandro Schwartz as Dynamo head coach during the offseason. In the first round of the RPL World Cup, the capital club will host Rostov on July 17.
