Previously, Lucy Clarke became the first transgender referee in a local championship football match.

English club Sutton United has appointed a transgender head coach of its women’s team. The Daily Mail reports this.

The new mentor’s name is Lucy Clark. Note that before this he managed to become the first transgender football referee, officiating matches of women’s teams in the English third division.

However, Clarke holds a UEFA B coaching license and has worked with Essex non-league men’s teams.

Sutton United play in the fourth English league and their women’s team in the fifth. The team had already played their first meeting under Clarke’s leadership, where they lost to Championship leaders Fulham.

It was previously reported that Barcelona wanted to sign the former coach of the German national team.
