We compare the financial situation of the Ukrainian and Turkish clubs
On Wednesday, July 20, Dynamo will play with Fenerbahce in the first match of the second qualifying round of the Champions League. The Canaries are preparing very seriously for the confrontation with the Kyiv club: only this summer, the Istanbul club has already spent 14.25 million euros on transfers, while the Kievans generally do without acquisitions. And in general, over the past five seasons, the Canaries have spent two and a half times more blue and white on the purchase of new players. This applies to both summer and all transfers.
Who Fenerbahce has already bought this summer
Jose Jesus, who led Fener this summer, has already received at his disposal Uruguayan winger Diego Rossi (5.5 million), Brazilian midfielders Lincoln (3.5) and Arau (3 million), Turkish midfielder Emre Mora.
And this is not the limit. According to media reports, Fenerbahce wants to invite two Uruguayan stars – Cavani and Suarez, as well as Jamaican forward Nicholson, who played for Spartak.
How much did Fenerbahce and Dynamo spend in the summer
Note that the 14.25 million euros spent by the Canaries on the purchase of new players in the summer off-season is almost a trend of the last five years. Fenerbahçe is not throwing money away like before, but he is not saving on the right players either. Over the past five seasons, the club has never exceeded the threshold of 20 million euros in the summer: 14.25 this summer, 16.85 in the 2021/2022 season, 10.9 in the 2020/2021 season, 18.51 in season 2019/2020 and 18.69 in summer 2018/2019. In total, in the summer off-season over the past five years, Fener has spent 79.2 million euros.

Dynamo for the same period spent 2.5 times less – 32.68 million euros. Moreover, twice, given the current off-season, the Kyiv club in the summer did not spend any money at all: for the first time in the last five years, this happened in the summer of 2020. The summer off-season 2018/2019 was a record for the blue-and-whites, when the Kievans spent 20.3 million euros: Supryaga (6.5 million), Sidikley (5 million), Che Che (4.8 million) and Duelunn (4 million ). It is worth reminding that of this four, only Supryaga remained in the Kiev team.
How much did Fenerbahce and Dynamo spend in five years
Interestingly, both clubs prefer to bet on summer transfers. However, the overall trend continues. If we take into account the last five seasons, then Fenerbahce spent 96.36 million euros on the purchase of new players: an average of 19.3 million per season.
For the same period, the Kievans spent 36.18 million euros: an average of 7.2 million per season.
How much are the compositions of Dynamo and Fenerbahce
Now, the Transfermarkt portal, the composition of Fenerbahce is estimated at about 171 million euros. Roster Dynamo, according to the publication, is worth 120 million euros.
The most expensive Fener is the goalkeeper of the Turkish national team Altay Bayindir (16 million euros). Canaries newcomer Lincoln is estimated at 14.5 million. In total, Fenerbahce has five players whose transfer value exceeds 10 million euros.
The most expensive Dynamo player is Viktor Tsygankov (25 million euros). This is followed by Ilya Zabarny (15 million) and Nikolai Shaparenko (10 million). More players, whose transfer value is equal to or more than 10 million euros, Dynamo do not have.
