Mudryk has not been included in the starting line-up in the Blues’ last few matches.
Head coach Chelsea Mauricio Pochettino told why the Ukrainian winger Mikhail Mudrik lost his place in the Blues starting line-up.
“Right now he’s on the bench. It’s about form – as long as you stay in shape and be the best in every training session.”
“It’s about meritocracy. “He has amazing qualities and potential, but this is a team game, not tennis.”
Mudryk came as a substitute in recent Chelsea matches, in particular with Liverpool (1:4) in the Premier League, Aston Villa (0:0) in the FA Cup. In total, the Ukrainian played 24 matches for the Blues in all tournaments this season. Mikhail has four goals and two assists.
Chelsea are in tenth place in the Premier League. In the next match, Mudryk’s team will play against Wolverhampton on February 4. The meeting starts at 16:00.
