Arteta: Zinchenko has something wrong with his calf muscle again, he had to be replaced

The Ukrainian legionnaire may have a relapse of a recent injury

Head coach Arsenal Mikel Arteta explained the reasons for the replacement Alexandra Zinchenko during the break of the match against Liverpool (3:1). According to the coach, we may be talking about a new injury for the Ukrainian.

“About Alex [Зинченко] “We don’t know yet because he started feeling the sensation in his calf muscle again and we had to take him out of the game.”

Let us remind you that in the central match of the 23rd round, Arsenal beat leading Liverpool at home. Zinchenko started and was replaced at half-time when the score was 1:1. Alexander had nothing to do with the missed goal – it happened due to a misunderstanding between defender William Saliba and goalkeeper David Raya.

Recently, Zinchenko has already missed several matches due to problems with the calf muscle. In total, he has 27 matches (21 in the Premier League), one goal and two assists this season.

After the match against Liverpool, Arsenal gained 49 points and moved into second place in the standings, just two points behind the Reds. In the next round of the English Championship, Arteta’s team will play against West Ham.
