Rose’s team breaks a three-game losing streak
RB Leipzig haven’t had any problems with Union in the home match of the 20th round of the German Bundesliga – 2:0.
Marco Rose’s team successfully took advantage of the opportunity to break the three-game losing streak. The home team scored once at the beginning of each half. Forwards Lois Openda and Benjamin Sheshko scored.
Union tried to find counter-arguments in the attack, but finally gave up after the sending off of defender Christopher Trimmel.
Leipzig scored 36 points and reduced the gap to Borussia Dortmund, who are in fourth, to a minimum. Union are in 15th place, just two points above the relegation zone.
In the next round, the Bulls will play away against Augsburg. Union will play the rescheduled match of the 18th round against Mainz in the middle of the week.
