Acting head coach Zari Yuri Koval commented on the results of the first part of the Turkish training camp, and also assessed the winter personnel additions to his team.
“The first stage of the preparatory period was coming to an end. There was a desire to play with two squads for 90 minutes, without making substitutions. You had to feel the physical stress, and above all the psychological stress, the ability to endure and fight.”

Let us remind you that at the winter training camp in Turkey, the Luhansk team lost to Cracovia (0:2), then played a draw with Jagiellonia (2:2), and today, February 4, they held two sparring matches at once – 2:1 with Arka and 1:0 with Dynamo Tbilisi.
Recently, the Luhansk club announced the signing of Estrela Amadora striker Aliun Ndour. The Senegalese has already scored a goal against Arca. Other potential newcomers are also playing in the sparring sessions – Croatian Jakov Bašić and ex-Olympic and Karpaty forward Matar Dije (also scored against the club from Gdynia).
Zarya takes 14th place in the Ukrainian Championship, gaining 12 points. Koval’s team will open the spring part of the season with a match against Vorskla. The base date for the 18th round of the UPL is February 24.
