Honored coach of the USSR in figure skating Tatyana Tarasova told that she and the rest of the passengers had to stay on the plane for 35 minutes after arriving in Saransk because the plane ended up in a snowdrift beyond the runway.
Earlier, Sport24 reported that a plane carrying figure skating coaches skidded off the runway in Saransk. On board were Tatiana Tarasova, Alexey Tikhonov and Svetlana Sokolovskaya, who arrived in the city to work at the Russian Junior Championships.
— We are still on the plane with Slyusarenko. No one has come out yet. We sat there for 35 minutes in a snowdrift, now we are just getting out,” Tarasova told .
The Russian Junior Championships will take place from February 6 to 8 in Saransk.
