Manchester United defender out for at least eight weeks
Manchester United officially confirmed the defender’s injury Lisandro Martinez.
A 26-year-old Argentinean suffered damage to the medial collateral ligament of the knee. He is expected to miss at least eight weeks.
Martinez missed a significant part of this season (about four months) due to a recurrence of a foot injury from which he suffered in the last campaign. The long-suffering defender was in the hospital from September to January, then managed to play four matches – and was out of action again.
Lisandro has been playing for United since the summer of 2022. He managed to appear on the field a total of 55 times, scoring one goal and one assist.
In addition to Martinez, defender Tyrell Malasia, midfielder Mason Mount and forward Anthony Martial are currently in the Manchester United hospital.
Manchester United is in sixth place in the Premier League. In the next round, the Red Devils will visit fourth-placed Aston Villa.
