The sports representative of the aggressor country owes a lot to the Catalan team for the transfer of the football player.

Barcelona appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport over Russian Zenit’s violation. As stated on the CAS website, the matter concerns the transfer of the Brazilian Malcolm.

The Catalans claim that the representative of the aggressor country did not pay the bonuses given for the sale of the Brazilian.

Note that the football player moved from Spain to Russia in August 2019 for 41.5 million euros. One of the points that helped increase the value of the transfer was the participation of the team of St. Petersburg in the Champions League of the 2022/23 season.

Zenit qualified for the tournament, but UEFA suspended all Russian clubs from the tournament after a mass raid in Ukraine.

The trial in this case will take place on March 22 this year. Let’s remember that last summer the Russians sold Malcom to Saudi Al-Hilal for 60 million euros.

We remind you that earlier it became known that the former Manchester United star has found a new club.
