The club that announced Ocheretko’s transfer has still not lifted the transfer ban
Commercial Director SK Dnepr-1 Vyacheslav Fridman commented on the situation with transfer ban for the club due to non-payment of bonuses to the ex-coach Igor Jovicevic.
“Renting Ocheretko is about what we question [с трансферным баном] we decide. We had four or five cases there, everything was resolved. With Jovicevich it’s a purely technical story. It’s impossible to pay Jovicevich in euros, but he’s not making contact yet, we’re trying to reach him.”
“We understand that we will unban. The question is technical, so that he receives it to some account of his own, and not to the euro that he gave in some bank. This is due to the fact that Ukraine does not allow this to be done during the war.”
“We need to look for a compromise. While we are looking, we are ready to pay. If anything, we will involve some international structures, they should help us do this. The money is put aside, everything is fine. There’s a lot of time, so we’re not worried about it,” Friedman concluded.
Let us remind you that earlier today Dnepr-1 officially announced the transfer of Shakhtar midfielder Oleg Ocheretko on loan until the end of the season.
At the same time, the transfer ban continues to hang over the club, which was previously imposed by FIFA in the case of unpaid bonuses for a top place in the UPL to former head coach Igor Jovicevic.
Later, another ex-Dnepr coach, Alexander Kucher, filed a lawsuit against the club in the UAF Dispute Resolution Chamber for a similar reason. The coach also stated that there are debts to the team’s players.
Dnepr-1, together with Krivbass, leads the UPL standings, behind Yuri Vernidub’s team in additional indicators. In the 18th round, the Dnipro team will host Minai on February 25.
