Portuguese football coach Jose Mourinho addressed the players “Rome “after being fired from his position as head coach of the Rome club, reports Il Messaggero.
Mourinho was sacked in January. He has been coaching the team since the summer of 2021, under his leadership the Roman club won the Conference League and reached the Europa League final.
Mourinho reportedly felt the players had betrayed him. The Portuguese left the players with a ring which they gave to him in honor of their Conference League victory. According to the publication, Mourinho attached a note to the ring with the words: “You will return it when you become men.” The ring and the note were found in the locker Lorenzo Pellegrini .
