Santos still suffers from a transfer ban, after Bustos’ refusal

Talks to settle the debt continue with disagreements on both sides and the transfer ban continues; check the obstacles to negotiation

The Coach Fabian Bustos refused a million-dollar deal with the Santos, meaning that the club continues to be unable to sign up new players by keeping the transfer ban in force. Alvinegro Praiano’s offer was to pay R$4 million in installments, but the former team commander remained firm in requesting payment in cash.

Peixe needs to pay the amount requested by the former coach, only then will the punishment be overturned. The debt, which was around R$6 million, was reduced after resources from the team, but the obstacle remains regarding the issue of installments.

Gabriel Brazãowho was hired to be a reserve John Paul, continues training at CT Rei Pelé, but still unable to play. The club is trying to negotiate with the Argentine to have new reinforcements for the Paulistão sequence.

“Bustos is making it difficult,” he said Marcelo Teixeira, Santos president, for the “Trivela” portal. The difficulty that the coach is imposing comes from the hurt he felt due to the way in which the negotiation of his termination was handled by Andrés Rueda, former representative of Peixe. The current board believes that this debt is a “cursed legacy” left by the former management.
