National team captain defends Endrick after missed penalty

Andrey Santos, leader of the Brazilian team in the Pre-Olympic, spoke about Endrick and the missed opportunity to score against Paraguay in the tournament

A Brazilian Team lost to Paraguay at the Pre-Olympic in a match played last Monday, the 5th. Endrick suffered a foul that awarded Canarinho the penalty, but ended up wasting the charge with a weak shot, practically in the middle of the goal. Captain Andrey Santos spared the number 9 from criticism.

“Endrick trains like that, he hits like he trains, I think it was the goalkeeper’s credit. You have to raise your head, we are all together”highlighted the young man. “We have to turn the page and prepare to face the Venezuela, study Venezuela. I think we made a mistake by not keeping the ball, we didn’t have patience.”

With the negative result of 0-1 for Paraguay, Brazil will need six extremely important points in the competition. The team will face Venezuela this Thursday, 8th, starting at 8pm (Brasília time); then, he enters the field to compete in the classic with the Argentina on Sunday, the 11th, with no set time yet.
