Qatar beat Iran in the semi-final match Asian Cup 2023 – 3:2.
Already in the 4th minute, Serdar Azmoun put the Iranians ahead. The Asian Cup hosts quickly came back after Jassem Abdulsallam’s shot deflected off a defender, and Qatar took the lead before the break thanks to a spectacular goal from Akram Afif.
Iran equalized in the 51st minute: Alireza Jahanbaksh converted from the penalty spot. At the end of the match, the Qataris still put the finishing touches on their opponents. Almoez Ali scored the winning goal.
Qatar, the current champion of the Asian Cup, will play in the final of the current tournament with Jordan, which unexpectedly defeated South Korea (2:0) in the semi-finals. The fight will take place on February 10.
