Athletistic/Football. Spartak veteran Evgeny Lovchev expressed his thoughts regarding Red and White head coach Guillermo Abascal’s statement regarding undefined goals for the current season. The Spanish coach stressed that he has a young team that needs to gain experience.

“Abascal mentioned that he does not have specific goals for the season, it is important that the team gains experience, because it is young. To be honest, I would not say that our team is so young. Currently we already have quite a few teams, a lot of foreign players, and we have to be responsible for the results.

“I understand this statement as follows: if the coach starts talking about the need to gain experience, the youth of the team and the progress of the players, then his remaining time in the team can be limited, and one should not expect results from him, ”Lovchev wrote in his telegram channel.

Recall that Spartak, under the leadership of Abascal, finished the first half of the 2023/2024 season, occupying fifth place in the Russian Premier League standings.
