According to Bogdan, teams from the UPL and Europe were interested in him, but he himself wants to go to Lechia
Attack Shakhtar Bogdan Vyunnik commented on the information about his absence from the training camp and his desire to cancel the contract, allegedly due to worries about the war.
“It’s true that I’m not at training camp. Because at first I shouldn’t come to the training camp and look for a new team.”
“Representatives of UPL teams and European teams contacted my father. We decided that we wanted to go to Lechia. Negotiations between the clubs began. I’ve been waiting for a month in Switzerland, with my family.”
“And now the fast is such nonsense. Everything that has been written regarding the war is complete absurdity.”
Let us remind you that yesterday there was information that the 21-year-old forward refuses to train with Shakhtar and wants to break his contract. Allegedly, the reason is worries about the war in Ukraine. At the same time, Vyunnik posted photographs from Saudi Arabia on social networks.
Previously, in 2022-2023, Vyunnik already performed abroad – on loan for the Swiss Zurich and the Austrian Grazer AK.
In the autumn part of the season, Bogdan played six matches for Shakhtar in all tournaments. The forward has one goal and two assists.
At the Turkish training camp, Shakhtar defeated the Armenian Pyunik (2:0), the Polish Lech (3:1) and drew with the Slovenian Maribor (0:0). At the beginning of February, the Miners lost to the Czech Hradec Kralove (0:2) and Velež from Bosnia and Herzegovina (2:3). Today, February 8, Marino Pusic’s team will play the final winter matches with the champion of Turkmenistan Arkadag and Polish Lechia.
Shakhtar will play its next official match in the 1/16 finals of the Europa League with Marseille. The first meeting will take place in a week – February 15 in Hamburg.
Lechia ranks fourth in Poland’s second-strongest division, with only two points behind the leading Arca. The team from Gdansk is represented by Ukrainians Bogdan Sarnavsky, Ivan Zhelizko and Maxim Khlan, as well as the recent leader of Krivbass Rifet Kapic.
