Zubkov once again missed out on Ferencváros’ bid for Champions League qualifiers

It was reported that the Ukrainian could return to Shakhtar

Ukrainian winger Ferencvaros Alexander Zubkov again did not get into the team’s application for the matches of the second qualifying round Champions League.

The Ukrainian did not take part in the Frady vs Tobol fights. Like last time, the reason for Zubkov’s absence is not reported.

Last season, Zubkov played in 34 Ferencváros matches, scoring three goals and providing seven assists. The Ukrainian helped the club win the championship and the Hungarian Cup.

Journalist Igor Tsyganyk reported that Zubkov could return to Shakhtar. The 25-year-old winger is a graduate of the Pitmen. In 2019, Ferencváros rented him from Shakhtar, and a year later, Alexander became a full-fledged player in the Hungarian club.

Ferencváros will play against Slovan in the second qualifying round of the Champions League. The first leg in Hungary will take place on July 20, the second leg on July 27 in Slovakia.
