Second victory for the blue-yellows
Ukraine U-18 national hockey team defeated the youth team Japan in the match on Memorial to Vlado Dzurilla – 3:1.
The goals of Shulga and Kuraev gave the blue-yellows an advantage in the first period. In the final 20 minutes, Seki made one goal back, but Gaponenko set the final score of the match.
This is the second victory for Alexander Bobkin’s team. Earlier, Ukraine beat Germany in overtime (6:5), but before that it lost to Slovakia U-19 in a shootout (3:4).
The blue-yellows will play the final match of the event tomorrow, February 11. Ukraine’s rivals will be peers from Slovakia.
