Athletistic/Football. Russian Arsen Zakharyan could have scored the first La Liga goal, but again it didn’t work.

The 20-year-old Russian midfielder, starting for Real Sociedad in the La Liga match against Osasuna, had at least two good chances, but in both cases his accuracy let him down.

In the first minutes of the meeting, Zakharyan showed his individual actions, delivering a strong blow to the Pamplona goal – the ball whistled near the crossbar.

Midway through the first half, Arsene failed to properly adjust to a cool pass from Takefusa Kubo – so Real Sociedad wasted another scoring opportunity, for which they ultimately paid.

Zakharyan left the field after an hour of play, giving way to Ander Barrenechea.

The Russian’s performance caused mixed emotions among the San Sebastian team’s supporters. This is how Zakharyan’s game was rated by Spanish fans on social media:

@ander1909:

– I didn’t really like Zakharyan’s game. It’s difficult to see him playing as a winger. He is clearly uncomfortable having to move quickly through the center of the field when he receives the ball on the flank. He doesn’t have the speed for that.

@Llaura79:

– The way Zakharyan called for a penalty in one of the episodes was a bit embarrassing. There was no fault when he fell.

@AitorSilva98:

– But at the start of the match, Zakharyan was very busy. In the first 15 minutes he was the best on the team.

@josemendi1969:

– Zakharyan behaved badly, trying to call for a non-existent penalty. You can’t set such a bad example.

@euskalhintxak80:

– Personally, I didn’t like him at all. At times it was just infuriating.

@Kdtrey104:

– Let someone tell me what Zakharyan was guilty of, if Sociedad center forwards are natural slackers.

@Jabatete_yt:

– I can’t say that Zakharian played a very bad match.

@harryhausen:

– It is worth noting that with each new match, Zakharyan increasingly dares to make brilliant individual moves in attack.

@Mr_Cronopio:

– Zakharyan deserved 6.5 on a 10-point scale. The best player in Sociedad today.

@andoniotxo_:

– Zakharyan has great prospects for next season.

@Carlostotxa77:

– The first half was better than any sleeping pill. As for individual personalities, for example, Zakharyan and Andre Silva simply should not play for Real Sociedad.

@Unaaivalverde:

– But, to tell the truth, I liked the game of Zakharyan and Silva. Both worked hard and efficiently on the field – their work was simply not rewarded.

@AmaroJonay:

– Neither Zakharyan nor Silva can break through yet.

@wiche_:

– I see a lot of criticism towards Zakharyan, but, as for me, in the first half he was the best with Turrientes and Subeldia.

Real Sociedad unexpectedly lost to Osasuna with a score of 0:1.

So far, the Russian midfielder has only scored one assist in 15 Primera Liga matches.
