Liverpool’s home match with Burnley (3:1) in the 24th round of the Premier League was attended by 59,896 fans. The previous record stood since December 1949, when the match with Chelsea (2:2) was watched by 58,757 people.
Anfield’s all-time record was set in the FA Cup in February 1952. Then the match between Liverpool and Wolverhampton (2:1) was attended by 61,905 spectators.
