It is known who will replace Italian Genarro Gattuso as coach of French Marseille.
Marseille has decided on a new head coach after the sacking of Gennaro Gattuso.
According to the club’s press service, 70-year-old local specialist Jean-Louis Gasse led the Provençal team. Details of the contract were not disclosed.
Jean-Louis’ last job was with the Ivory Coast national team, where he was fired after an unsuccessful performance in the group stage of the last Africa Cup of Nations. Under Gasse’s leadership, the Elephants barely made the playoffs, but eventually won under the new coach.
In his long coaching career, the Frenchman did not win a trophy as a head coach, but became a 4-time French champion and a 2-time national Cup winner as an assistant.
