Russian midfielder Alexey Ionov declined to comment on his future following the termination of his contract with “Rostov” .
In December it became known that Rostov terminated the agreement with the 34-year-old footballer by mutual consent of the parties.

Ionov played for Rostov from 2017 to 2020 and before the start of the current season he returned to the club. In total, the footballer played 104 matches in the Rostov jersey, scored 18 goals and provided 13 assists.
This season, after 18 rounds of the MIR RPL, Valery Karpin’s team occupies 10th place in the standings with 21 points.
