In 2018, Russia hosted the FIFA World Cup. FIFA recognized this tournament as the best in history in terms of organization. The France team won the 2018 World Cup. Four years later, the World Cup took place in Qatar. In the 2022 World Cup, the Argentina team won gold medals.
In the final match of the 2023 Asian Cup, the Qatar team defeated the Jordan team with a score of 3: 1 and became the winner of the continental championship for the second time in a row.
