With Daronco officiating, Gre-Nal 441 will not have VAR; check out

Gre-Nal 441, valid for Gauchão, played this Sunday, 25th, will be refereed by Anderson Daronco and will not have VAR technology available

This Sunday, 25th, International It is Guild face each other, in a match valid for the 10th round of the Gaucho Championship. As the confrontation is valid for the first phase of the state championship, the arbitration, led by Anderson Daronco, will not have the help of VAR. The clubs sought an agreement to have a video referee in the Gre-Nalbut were unsuccessful.

Last Thursday, 22nd, Grêmio and Internacional filed a letter with the Gaucho Football Federation, with the intention of proposing a change in the first phase regulations. In principle, games at this stage do not have a video referee, but the duo wanted a change to use technology in the classic.

However, according to ‘GE’, the request will not be accepted. The Gaucho Football Federation indicated that the change would not be viable, as the company that provides VAR would have to meet the demand, in addition to a positive response from the other 10 clubs in the Campeonato Gaúcho.

As the request was made a few days ago by Gre-Nal 441, the expectation was that the request would be denied, precisely due to the high demand to make the technology viable, on the part of the responsible company, in a short time. Other than that, the FGF seeks to comply with the regulations that were determined before the start of Gauchão in general.

According to the Federation, the decision to implement the video referee from the quarter-finals onwards was not something isolated, but rather a unanimous decision between the clubs, in the competition’s Technical Council, held at the end of November 2023. Therefore, this will be the first Gre-Nal since 2020 that will not feature the presence of VAR.
