The Catalan club seems to appreciate the skill and class of players with Ukrainian passports.
Tsygankov and Dovbik are not alone. Girona planned the transfer of another football player to Ukraine. This was reported by Football24. According to the source, the Catalan club wants to strengthen itself again at the expense of Dynamo Kyiv.
The management of the Spanish club and the coaching staff want to see Alexander Timchik in the team. The 27-year-old Ukrainian is considered as Jan Cote’s replacement. Cote’s loan at Girona ends at the end of the current season and he is likely to return to Manchester City.
Timchik has long been watched in Girona. Head coach Michel likes the defender’s game; in addition, Catalans are attracted by the low cost. It is planned that the purchase of the Ukrainian will cost no more than 3-4 million euros, and the presence of Dovbik and Tsygankov in the team will facilitate the quick adaptation of the newcomer to the team. In addition, Timchik already has experience in dealing with Tsygankov on the right flank.
The transfer could have taken place this winter, but it was abandoned due to the injury of the Ukrainian.
Note that Timchik has been playing for Dynamo’s main team since 2020. He played 66 matches for the Kiev team, where he scored 4 goals and 4 assists. The contract with Dynamo will last until the summer of 2025.
We remind you that earlier Tsygankov commented on his winning goal in the match against Rayo Vallecano.
