Youth x Sao Paulo enter the field for the third phase of the Copa do Brasil. The gauchos reached this stage of the competition after winning Porto Velho and real northwest in the previous phases. The people of São Paulo, in turn, left behind the Campinense, after a goalless draw, and the manaus, winning 2-0.
Juventude has not had a great season so far. After almost being relegated in the Campeonato Gaúcho, where it was in 10th position, the team won the duels for the Copa do Brasil but got off to a bad start in the Brasileirão and, in two games, added a draw (2-2 against RB Bragantino) and a loss (4-1 to America-MG).

São Paulo has been going through some ups and downs. After the humiliating defeat to the palm trees in the final of Paulistão, the team won two victories and leads its group of the Copa Sudamericana and started well the Brazilian, thrashing the Atletico-PR, 4-0, in the first round. However, the team suffered a hard defeat last weekend, when they lost to Flamengo, 3-1 at Maracanã.
With all doubts resolved and prepared for another challenge in the Copa do Brasil, São Paulo goes to the field to face Juventude with the following lineup: Jandrei, Igor Vinícius, Miranda, Arboleda and Reinaldo; Pablo Maia, Gabriel Sara and Alisson; Talles, Luciano and Calleri.
In the retrospect of the clashes between the teams, it is São Paulo that takes the best, with nine victories, against six of Juventude. In addition, there were still seven other draws, adding up to a total of 22 duels played between them. The last time the teams faced each other was for the second round of the Brasileirão 2021, when Tricolor won 3-1 at Morumbi.
