Almost a year after the episode of racism, Vinícius Júnior meets Valencia again at the Mestalla Stadium, and has Ancelotti’s trust
The last memory of Vinícius Junior at the Mestalla Stadium is one of the worst possible, since during his time there, he suffered racism from some fans of the Valence. Ten months later, the Brazilian returns to the place together with the Real Madridbut the team coach, Carlo Ancelottisees him ready to just play football.
“Vinicius is prepared to play the best game possible, as he always does, and I have nothing more to add. This week, I just thought about how to create problems for the Valencia team, which is a team with very talented young people”, said the Italian commander in a press conference this Friday, 1.
He pretended he was Vini Jr’s brother

At another point in the interview, Ancelotti was also asked if it crossed his mind that leaving Vinícius out of the game might be the best option. In addition to denying any possibility of this happening, the coach also explained the reasons for this decision.
“Not that! The idea is to play a great football game against a strong rival. What the fans want to see is a spectacle. Don’t forget what happened last year because, when you have cases of racism, you need to fight it. And Valencia also did well to identify (the culprits) because racism is a crime”, he added.
It is worth remembering that in May 2023, Vini Jr argued with fans during the game between Real Madrid and Valencia. The Brazilian’s attitude was due to having heard racist insults, which turned the discussion into controversy. The reunion takes place this Saturday, 2nd, at 5pm (Brasília time), for the Spanish Championship.
