Athletistic/Football. Spartak midfielder Anton Zinkovsky expressed hope that the team’s striker Quincy Promes would return to Russia.

The Dutchman is currently in the United Arab Emirates, where he was arrested at Dubai airport while trying to fly to Moscow after an accident. He is expected to be sentenced early next week. He had already been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for attacking a cousin with a knife and drug trafficking. Following his arrest in Dubai, reports emerged of an extradition request from Dutch prosecutors to authorities in the United Arab Emirates.

“At the moment I have not personally communicated with Promes, but we will monitor the coaching staff and security for updates. We hope that Promes will return to Russia,” Zinkovsky said in an interview with Sport24 , responding to a question about the likelihood of Promes’ return to Russia.
