Kharatin: I jokingly asked Kacharaba if I could go to DAK 1904

The midfielder has already made his debut in the Slovak club

Ukrainian Slovak midfielder DAK 1904 (Dunajska Streda) Igor Kharatin spoke about his transfer, as well as about interest from several Ukrainian clubs.

“Yes, I had offers from different countries. There were a lot of calls from Poland, from Hungary, from the UPL. When the interview came out where I said I was ready to return to Ukraine, many clubs called and were interested in me. There were also clubs from Romania and Turkey. There were several options, it was a difficult month because I was already full of suitcases.”

“After Legia said that they were not counting on me, I began to train with the second team, held a training camp, but I understood that I needed to leave. I need to gain playing time, I need to play and restore my condition. The question is – where? But, after thinking it over, I decided to move to DAK.”

“It all started when I called Taras Kacharaba and congratulated him on his transfer to DAK. And I asked him how it was at the club, maybe I should go there? It was more like a joke. I was just in search, I was looking for a team for a long time. There were no options that would suit me. But this team was interested in me, so I decided to ask. Taras said that Gleb Platov, whom I know well, works at the club, so I became interested. I decided to ask Gleb about the project, about the club, he told me everything and I offered him my candidacy.”

“Legia was ready to break my contract and I needed a club where I could prove myself at least until the summer. Gleb talked to the coach, I later met him and they were interested in my transfer. The coach was waiting for me, he was interested in my arrival. And two days later I went to DAK.”

Haratin moved from Polish Legia to DAK 1904 in February. The 29-year-old footballer signed a contract until the end of the current season. The contract contains an option to extend for another year.

DAK 1904 with Kharatin (one match in play) and his compatriot Taras Kacharaba (four games) takes fourth place in the standings of the Slovak championship.
