“Berdyev said he always wanted to play attacking football” – Boyarintsev

Former coach “Rubin” Kurban Berdyev said he always wanted to play attacking football, said the former player of the Kazan team Denis Boyarintsev .

Berdyev is 71 years old. In February, the specialist left the post of head coach of Dynamo Makhachkala, which leads the MELBET First League standings.

— I was training with him when he last coached Rubin. I stayed there for two weeks, asking questions and taking notes. Then we summarized the results. And what Berdyev said: “I was an offensive player myself and I never wanted my teams to play defensive football.” But there was a result. And he understood perfectly from Rubin that such a game was pressing on him. But of course I want to play attacking football. But probably, in Rubin he came to the conclusion that he should play football pragmatically. Moreover, the task then was to get out of the Premier League. Then the task is to survive in the RPL. And constantly faced with such moments, Berdyev came to such football.

But he himself said that he always wanted to play attacking football. But for now, I’m taking a different path. I take a risk somewhere, it happens. But I try to make the game interesting and entertaining. Everyone sees the game model for themselves. But I think every coach can learn something useful from it. And I want to remain myself, an individual. But, probably, life will one day force us to play defensive football. My soul lies in offensive and spectacular football,” Boyarintsev said, as quoted by RB Sport.
