“The relationship with the manager did not work out” – Boyarintsev about his departure from Rodina

Former head coach “Mother land” Denis Boyarintsev explained his resignation from the post of head coach of the Moscow team due to unsuccessful relations with the club manager.

Boyarintsev led Rodina from 2021 to 2022.

– You came, led the team, led the game. They took first place, completed the task, then took it and put it away. After you comes a person who doesn’t train very well. What is the motivation to change coaches like that?

— My opinion is that the situation here is a little different. There is now a new category for the position of “football manager”. This position is probably quite difficult for a coach. All key elements are entrusted to the club manager. Therefore, the main reason why my contract at Rodina was not renewed was probably the bad relationship with the manager.

Rodina employs excellent professionals at many levels. I guess I still can’t adapt to my character and my vision of football. Many questions arose regarding team building. There will always be some conflict of interests and characters. But the most important thing is that together we solved the problem of the team’s exit. And there, perhaps we had disagreements and arguments. At first, I evaluated this period in my own way. It seemed to me that we had done everything correctly, both in terms of approaches and methodology. But there is the manager’s point of view, which is a key link in the feedback with the club’s management. Therefore, some common interests with the club management did not develop here,” Boyarintsev said, as quoted by RB Sport.
