Zarya beat Minaj and continues to go undefeated in 2024
Coach Lugansk Zari Mladen Bartulovich commented on the victory over Let’s go (2:0) in the opening match of the 20th round Ukrainian Premier League.
“Congratulations to our fans on an important victory! We set up the team for a very difficult match, because Minaj looked decent in the matches with Dnepr-1 and Metalist 1925.”
“The task was to play aggressively from the first minutes. If you let Minai play, they can play well with the ball, which they already showed in the spring. The task was to score a quick goal. We managed to do this. The game was a little nervous later because we couldn’t score the second goal for some period of time. But after the second goal it became easier.”
“We continue to work. There are important matches ahead. We need to recover and prepare for Dynamo,” summed up the Croatian specialist.
Zarya scored seven points in three rounds of 2024 and at least temporarily rose to 11th position in the standings.
In the next round, the Lugansk team will play on March 12 away against Dynamo Kyiv.
