Athletistic / Football. Details emerge on the health of Swedish midfielder and Danish Midtjylland player Kristoffer Olsson. Previously, the 28-year-old Scandinavian defended the colors of Krasnodar.
On February 20, Olsson collapsed at home and was later taken to the hospital, where he was put on a ventilator. Only two and a half weeks later, doctors were able to make a precise diagnosis.
“Based on extensive examinations, doctors realized that Kristoffer suffered from several small blood clots on both sides of the brain. They formed as a result of an extremely rare inflammatory process in the blood vessels of the brain. This diagnosis coincides with the principles on which doctors have so far worked and treated Kristoffer.
Olsson’s condition is now stable and doctors continue to see little progress. Furthermore, they already feel that Kristoffer’s level of consciousness is increasing.
In the near future, doctors will try to gradually disconnect the Swedish midfielder from the respirator, but our player is still in intensive care. It is not yet clear what the final timing and prognosis of Olsson’s treatment will be,” the Midtjylland press service said in a statement.
Kristoffer Olsson played for Krasnodar from 2019 to 2021. As part of the Bulls, he became a two-time bronze medalist of the Russian Championship.
