The Brazilian scored his debut goals for Shakhtar, and Oleksandriya beat Polesie away
Winger Miner Kevin recognized best player 20th round Ukrainian Premier League. Mentor Alexandria Ruslan Rotan became the best coach.
The UPL, according to tradition, conducted the survey in two stages. In the first part, sports journalists and partners identified contenders for the title of best. In the second, fans voted for the proposed candidates on social networks.
Kevin received 58% of votes on Instagram and 41% on Google Form. Rotan was named the best by 44% of fans on Instagram and 32% on Google Form.
Let us remind you that the Brazilian, having entered the field during the break, became one of the main heroes of Shakhtar’s strong-willed victory over Kolos (3:2). The Brazilian scored his debut goals for the Donetsk club in a similar style – first he equalized the score in the fifth minute of the half, and in the end he made the score 3:1.
Alexandria, under the leadership of Rotan, inflicted an away defeat on Polesie (2:1) and, probably, became an indirect reason for the imminent resignation of Yuri Kalitvintsev. Previously, the 42-year-old City coach was recognized as the best coach of the 20th round of the UPL according to the All-Ukrainian Association of Football Coaches.
Shakhtar leads the standings, ahead of Krivbass in additional indicators and having played two fewer games. The day after tomorrow, March 12, Marino Pusic’s team will play against Minaj.
Alexandria is in 11th place with 20 points. In the next match, the Rotan team will host Vorskla on March 15.
