“CSKA players are psychologically afraid of missing victory, and at the end of matches they turn into whips” – Ponomarev

Ex-footballer CSKA Vladimir Ponomarev believes that due to psychological problems among the players, the team often misses victories at the end of matches.

In the 20th round match, CSKA defeated Krylya Sovetov with a score of 2:0. Vladimir Fedotov’s team with 32 points occupies fourth place in the RPL standings.

— CSKA’s victory over Krylia even surprised me a little. It’s good that the team pulled itself together after a bad match with Orenburg. This season, it is CSKA which suffers the most from discipline. So many points have already been buried, leading to the score during the game.

Due to lack of proper benching, players get tired and by the end of matches they turn into whips. They are already psychologically afraid of missing the victory,” Ponomarev told RB Sport.
