Athletistic / Football. President of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Alexander Dyukov said that in June 2024 the Russian national team will play two friendly matches.
“We will still have matches in 2024. We will play two matches in March. We will also play with two opponents this summer. We will try to organize the second match in Russia,” Dyukov said, as quoted by Sport-Express.
Previously it became known that in June in Minsk the Russian team will play with the Belarusian national team. It should be noted that the Belarusians have not played home matches since 2020.
On March 21, the Russian team will play against Serbia, and on March 25 against Paraguay. Both matches will take place at the VTB Arena in Moscow.
The Russian national team now occupies 38th place in the FIFA rankings. Since February 28, 2022, all Russian national teams and clubs have been suspended from competitions under the auspices of FIFA and UEFA due to the events in Ukraine.
