Polesie officially announced the transfer of the Venezuelan striker Luifer Hernandez. The 22-year-old forward signed a four-and-a-half-year contract and will wear number 9.
Luifer’s previous club was the Puerto Cabello Academy. Earlier it was reported that the Zhytomyr team would pay the Venezuelan club $1.2 million for the player.
Hernandez has made five appearances for the club this year in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing one assist. In total, the forward scored 37 goals during his time at the Puerto Cabello Academy. Luifer also has five matches for the Venezuela U-23 national team, in which he scored one goal.
Polissya also formalized the loan of Shakhtar midfielder Ivan Petryak. The Zhytomyr team has already registered the player for the spring part of the season in the UPL.
Polesie ranks sixth in the UPL with 33 points. Head coach Yuri Kalitvintsev left the team after a failure in the match with Alexandria (0:1). The Zhytomyr team will play their next match against Obolon on March 16.
