Athletistic / Football. Barcelona head coach Xavi, after reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League, appreciated the opportunity to stay at the Catalan club. At the end of January, he announced his departure from the Blaugrana camp at the end of the 2023/2024 season.
“You keep asking me: will I stay if we win the Champions League? No, I will definitely leave. Even a Champions League triumph will not change my future. I will leave at the end of the season. I will go and enjoy the Champions League next season, but as a fan,” journalist Fabrizio Romano quotes Xavi on his social media page.
On March 12, Barcelona hosted the second leg of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League between Barcelona and Italian Naples. The match ended with the victory of Xavi’s team with a score of 3:1. In total, the blue garnets beat Naples with a score of 4:2.
Xavi took charge of Barcelona in November 2021. With the Catalans, he became Spanish champion and winner of the country’s Super Cup.
