Pablo Solari approves of River Plate debut: El Pibe opens with win and good feelings

The former Colo Colo striker entered in the 62nd minute in the victory by the minimum number of the millionaire over Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata. He showed personality, constantly showing off on the right flank and becoming one of his team’s most dangerous offensive agents in the complement.

Pablo Solari made his River Plate debut with a win. El Pibe, who signed for the Buenos Aires side after an outstanding spell at Colo Colo, made his debut in the 62nd minute of the Millonarios’ minimum count win over Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata, after coming on the field to replace Santiago Simon.

The one born in the city of Arizona, in the province of San Luis, went from less to more during his premiere. He was seen somewhat nervous and hidden for the first few minutes. However, he quickly left all fear behind to start showing his qualities. His team was already on the scoreboard, so he had spaces that a footballer like Solari can take advantage of perfectly.

In the 71st minute, el Pibe starred in an attack down the right wing. He received the ball and immediately headed for goal, as he had done on the Monumental de Santiago pitch, with Colo Colo. However, he decided to face off instead of looking for a better-placed teammate and his attempt was quickly stopped by the defenders of the foreign team. A minute later, he dives again on the right behind a large wall, but his attempt is again repelled by the Gimnasia defense.

Ten minutes from the end of regulation time, the Transandin has cleared a clear option to increase the advantage of its workforce. Again he gained yards on the right side and sent a low cross to Miguel Borja, another of the millionaire squad reinforcements for this season. The Colombian striker chained the ball with his left foot, but without giving him any precision.

Solari, by then, was already consistent. His teammates frequently searched for him in his sector, and Solari continued to make choices for himself. In the 81st, he again attacked from his side, reached the bottom line and took a ball through the center which bounced off an opponent, sending the ball over the crossbar. With the duel in stoppage time, El Pibe went back for Borja, who again kicked the ball, which went to the body of goalkeeper Rodrigo Rey.

In this way, Solari made his debut in the Argentine team, considered one of the greatest in his country. left good feelings it would therefore not be surprising if coach Marcelo Gallardo decides to use him as a starter in the next Millionaire game, which will be as a visitor, against Aldosivi, this Sunday, starting at 2:30 p.m. in Chile.
