Athletistic/Football. De Telegraaf journalist Jeroen Kapteins reacted to the news of the arrest of Spartak striker Quincy Promes. Earlier, the publication reported that on Wednesday, March 13, the footballer was detained in Dubai at the request of the Dutch prosecutor’s office, which will now demand his extradition.

“Of course, Quincy Promes is a shame for Dutch and Russian football. His story is a clearly negative example. However, it is worth noting that Promes is not the first Dutch footballer to find himself in a similar situation. David Mendes da Silva was sentenced to seven years in prison for cocaine trafficking,” Kapteyns said, as quoted by RB Sport.

An Amsterdam court sentenced the attacker to 7.5 years in prison for participating in drug trafficking and stabbing his cousin.
