The new program involves serious investment
International Football Federation (FIFA) approved a new business plan for the development of sports.
By decision of Congress, an investment was declared investment at the rate of $2.25 billion for the development of football. It is noted that this decision is an almost sevenfold increase in investment compared to the development programs that were in effect until 2016.
The FIFA Council also approved the financial report for 2023. FIFA is on track to exceed its $11 billion budget target for the 2023-2026 period, according to the organization’s head Gianni Infantino.
Let us recall that the FIFA Congress approved a number of changes to the holding of the World Championships in the U-17 age category. One of the new points was the increase in the number of participants in both the women’s and men’s world championships.
