Athletistic/Football. Spartak striker Quincy Promes is seen at a police station near Dubai Airport, United Arab Emirates. De Telegraaf reports it.
Before that, the media wrote that the Spartak striker was arrested in the United Arab Emirates at the request of the Dutch prosecutor’s office. The red and white footballer was detained at the police station, but was later released, with a ban on returning to the Russian Federation.
The Netherlands is insisting on Promes’ extradition from the United Arab Emirates, where the player faces 7.5 years in prison for drug trafficking and a stabbing with his cousin.
Spartak played three official matches without Promes in 2024. In the RPL, the team tied with Zenit (0:0) and lost to Fakel (0:2). But Orenburg won the Russian Cup (3:1) and reached the semi-finals of the RPL Way.
